Despite facing stiff competition from Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal,' the film has garnered widespread attention on social media and positive reviews from fans and critics alike.

Former Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar took to social media to express his admiration for the movie, particularly praising Vicky Kaushal's portrayal of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Tendulkar lauded the film as a must-watch, emphasizing its historical significance in showcasing the courage and sacrifices made by Sam Manekshaw during critical moments in Indian history.

 'Sam Bahadur' stands as a biopic, offering a glimpse into the life and achievements of Sam Manekshaw, the Chief of the Army Staff during the 1971 India-Pakistan war and the first Indian Army officer to attain the rank of field marshal.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film received stellar reviews upon its release on December 1. Renowned film critic Saibal Chatterjee praised Vicky Kaushal's dominating performance and Meghna Gulzar's adept balance between ambition and restraint, awarding the film a commendable 3.5-star rating out of 5.
